New Release of pjsProfileBars
A new version of pjsProfileBars for NinjaTrader 8 is now available for download.
This release focuses on improved chart usability, additional AlgoBars integration, enhanced situational awareness tools, and a number of fixes designed to improve reliability during day-to-day trading.
As with previous releases, this update contains a mixture of new functionality, workflow enhancements, and visual refinements based on user feedback.
Highlights of this Release
New Situational Awareness Gateway
A new Situational Awareness (SA) Gateway has been introduced for fully registered users.
The SA Gateway provides an alternative to self-hosted or API-based LLM solutions and is designed to integrate directly with the pjsProfileBars ecosystem. This allows traders to access situational awareness functionality without the complexity of configuring their own AI infrastructure.
Additional enhancements include a dedicated News tab and alerting functionality to help traders remain aware of market-moving events throughout the trading session.
Expanded AlgoBars Integration
AlgoBars has been enhanced with additional indicator support and new market structure information.
This release adds:
- PJSTM (pjsTrendMagic) support within AlgoBars parameters
- Historical bar access using the familiar
[x]syntax - Trapped Buyers and Trapped Sellers plots within pjsProfileBarsPlots
These additions provide more flexibility when building custom conditions, filters, and automated logic.
Improved Chart Visualisation
Several visual improvements have been made to improve chart readability and consistency.
Changes include:
- pjsTrendMagic can now be displayed directly as a chart plot
- Delta change markers have been redesigned using triangles instead of circles
- Optional legacy circle mode remains available for users who prefer the previous appearance
- Improved positioning of data blocks and above/below-bar markers
- Refinements to triangle drawing geometry for more consistent rendering
These updates help improve chart clarity while maintaining compatibility with existing layouts.
Improved Reliability and User Experience
A number of workflow and stability improvements have also been included.
Highlights include:
- Startup warnings when insufficient tick data is available for chart loading
- Improved visibility of warning messages by relocating them to the centre of the screen
- Additional safeguards around disabled tab functionality
- Improved compatibility of delta change markers when operating in candle fallback mode
These changes help reduce common configuration issues and make potential problems easier to identify.
